Cake Galore

For my sister's birthday, on 11th October 2013, my mom and my 3rd sister made her a blueberry cheesecake. Topped with the sweet sugary biscuits that you always had back then when you were little. Looks pretty isn't it?

And it was my birthday yesterday. We had some home cooked spaghetti and my parents bought me a white chocolate macadamia cake from Secret Recipe.

I am really grateful for my parents and my family. They are my everything. And I still can't believe that number 25. Okay, bye!

Happy Birthday!

Big shout out to my sister who turns 22 this year! Time flies so fast, I can't even believe that it's 2013 already. Anyway, our birth dates are only a couple of days apart. Back then when we were little, my Opah was so eager to throw a birthday party for both of us. Usually it will be a combine birthday party of mine and my sister's. Then we get to invite our friends and neighbor to join. Well, it wasn't really a big, fancy, themed party with clowns etc. Just a casual high tea I guess with a big fat cake since we had to share. Haha. Sadly, there's no more birthday parties for my 2nd sister, younger brother or even for my little brother. Pity them. Lol.

I just had to put up this picture since my mom complimented on how I cute I was when I was little. Ehem! Haha. I'm not even sure myself how I came to know how to pose so much.

Pastel & Petals

The other day, my mom suddenly decided to bake some cupcakes and voila! Magic happened! Well not really. There's no magic involved this time. It was just the normal baking stuff. My mom made the batter and my sister put them in the oven. Then I thought why not we give them cupcakes a make over. So there goes butter and sugar icing mixed with food colouring and sprinkles.

Honestly, we are no professional in cake decorating, but it turned out quite nice. Haha. While snapping pictures, I tried not to focus on a single cupcake because it can really emphasize the imperfections. Hence the crowded cupcakes in one picture. Then again, we were only baking for fun and there's no pressure in decorating for general viewing, just happy tummies.

PD Story

It was our Grandfather's brother's house in Port Dickson whom lives with his wife. We usually went to visit them during the raya month. The thing out this particular house in Port Dickson is that it's always been fun and so far never have it failed to entertain everyone of us! They have a fruits orchard right behind the house and they also breed goats! So right after we arrived and salam with both of them, off we went to the backyard to have our own mini adventure while our parents had their own gossiping session. Haha.

Here we go...

Got to admit that we are a big fan of rambutans! Oh, here's my little brother by the way.

Plucking rambutans again and peeking through the goat's house haha.

There were also lots of durians in their backyard. We even brought a good amount of it back to Kuala Lumpur.

Here I am, pretending to be so amused by the village chicken (ayam kampung) if you get what I mean.
But really, this is just an example of awkward pose.

Feeding the goat! This one here is super friendly compare to the others. I forgot to put up the picture of the baby goat that we chase around. I'll make sure to put it up later.

Yay! A wheelbarrow of the king of fruits!

Kampung boy got caught in action as usual.

And of course, we love selfies.

Rambutans...

More rambutans...

Me and my little sister.

My baby sister. Not so 'baby' anymore since currently she's bigger than me, physically ^__^

I guess that's all that I can give right now. Turns out that there's nothing much to tell huh? By now, I really envy with those who can articulate excellently or at least convey those words on paper, or on the net what we call nowadays. At least, I can turn my boring story into something more interesting. Hmm but this will do for the time being. I'll make sure to improve myself in the future. I just hope that I won't be caught up with the laziness disease. Haha.

An Evening in Port Dickson

We were at Port Dickson last Friday! We start our journey after the Friday prayer around 3 pm and reach Port Dickson around 4+ pm I think (I'm not sure about that). Hmm actually, there's more to blog about Port Dickson but since I still have 13% of Catching Fire to finish up, I need to postpone this one. I am going to finish reading this book as soon as I can, hopefully today so I can write more about Port Dickson.

Till hen, bye!

Eid Mubarak

I hope it's not too late to wish Selamat Hari Raya! I know that it's already the 6th day of Syawal but better late than never. This year we went back to both of my parents hometown. The journey started on the first day of Syawal to Ipoh, Perak (my mom's hometown) at 1 pm  but the heavy traffic only allowed us to reach our destination at 5 pm! Oh and this year we decided to drive in two separate cars since the one car can no longer fit us all in anymore.

When we reached Ipoh, the usual visiting-relatives-and-filling-up-hungry-tummy business resumed. Then we went to Taiping and decided to overnight there. Since we were too tired to continue the balik kampung journey, we decided to stay another night in Ipoh and only went back to Kuala Lumpur on the 3rd day of raya.

Around 8 am on the 4th day of Syawal, the journey resumed. The destination was Batu Pahat, Johor (my dad's hometown). We visited a few relatives and went back to Kuala Lumpur on the same day! Honestly, I never thought that it is ever achievable to do something like that. Haha.

Speaking of Hari Raya, I did enjoy mine this year. As I'm not even sure whether I can have my raya leave next year. But anyway, the one boy that sure did enjoy his raya this year is of course my baby brother. I got to admit that it maybe because of he is the smallest among us that he got more duit raya compare to everyone of us. Haha. But he's also able to unleash his inner kampung boy spirit during this festive season. By kampung boy, I mean being mischievous 11 year old boy who talks a lot and never seemed to be low in energy i.e. running around and jumping up and down and of course... play some firecrackers and fireworks.

Yup, this one little boy here.

So yeah, that kind of sums up my 1st week of raya. I purposely forget to put up pictures of me in my baju raya. Hmm maybe some other time. Or maybe just never :p

Sprinting

It was always a busy day since I got home. A part of being a part time driver, there are so may other things that I feel like I am obliged to attend besides settling for my own business, that's obvious. Last Saturday I went to Cyberjaya to accompany my little sister to her college interview and the day after my mom, little brother and I went to my baby brother's sports day. This time the event took place in the neighboring school's mini stadium. My mom said that last year it was held in a bigger, fancier stadium which I forgot what's the name.

So anyway, we went there around 8 a.m. but the event only started around 9.45 a.m. The picture looks foggy not because of it was chilly that there were fog everywhere but because there were some open burning in the nearby housing area. Which makes me sad to think that some people are just ignorant and selfish.

Since we were bored waiting for the event to start, we decided to act vain and take pictures of ourselves.

Obviously, my baby brother is a red house member. He's somewhere in the crowd but I couldn't identify which one was him actually. Haha. One fun fact though, all the four of us were in purple house previously in primary school and it was awkward when my baby brother is the only one with different sports house. But it didn't really matter I guess. We just need that sportsmanship spirit!

Believe it or not, he managed to get gold medals for both 200 meters and 4x200 meters! That was shocking since my mom said that he's always a bit cocky. Haha. I guess he's not being cocky, he's just acting like what  a mischievous and hyperactive boy does.

What's past is prologue

The long awaited Wednesday 26th has finally arrived. It's today actually! Now this means that I will be boarding the aircraft going back to Malaysia in a few hours. For good! Phew. Anyway, it has been a fairly hectic week for me too. Both of my parents were here at this tiny little island for almost a week to attend to my graduation. We went to do some sight seeing and get to experience the hardships of living on this tiny little island.

We went to the beach to see the sunset on the 2nd day my parents were here. This photo looks pretty with both of my parent's silhouette overlapping with the sunset.

We got ourselves the 100,000 steps on this particular day. My parents and I had a stroll around my uni and took some pictures for future mementos.

Last but not least, a picture of us on my Oath Taking Day. From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank God for this gift. And to my beloved Mama and Abah for having me. All that matters to me is to make you guys feel proud and happy.

Okay then. I don't think that I will write anything more. I still have to do some packing and whatnot. By the way, I heard that there was a heavy rain yesterday in Malaysia. Well I hope at least the hell haze will disappear a bit to welcome me home. Haha.

Blackcurrant

It's Monday! I am proud to say that I am currently Monday-blues free. Haha. Anyway, yesterday which was June 9th, was my little brother's 14th birthday. Oh wait, 14 really? I thought it's suppose to be 11 or something smaller? It's really confusing now. I have lost count of how many birthday cakes that I've missed. Urgh. But I guess it's a good thing though, I don't need extra evil fat through out the years. Hmm but come to think about it, maybe that's the reason why I am stick skinny! It's because I never get to eat those fattening scrumptious birthday cakes! Mwahaha. I've gone mad.

Enough with the jealousy now.

Want to know what I've been up to recently? I'm struggling to finish up my puasa debts. This coming Wednesday would be the final day for settling the debts. I really can't wait! I bet when my parents come to this tiny little island, they won't even recognize their own daughter. They might get confuse with some bibik or whatnot. Haha. Oh, and since I stay indoors most of the time, I secretly wish that my skin tone would be lighter than I had before. But I can't prove that it's true since I never bump into anyone yet. I might as well never get the compliment that I'd hope to hear.

Finally, I really wish that I could put up more of cheerful-colorful-vibrant picture like this one below.

But sadly, my feet are the most photo friendly than anything else.

Peacock tail is never a monkey's business

I cannot believe that my baby sister is sitting for her SPM today! It seems like just yesterday she was just a baby and now all grown up and about to be a lady already. She's even bigger and taller than me. Sheesh. Makes me feel inferior. But it's okay, to think on the bright side, I'll always have a personal bodyguard. Lol!

Living away from home and family sometimes makes me think that maybe the real children of my parents are just my 4 younger sisters and brothers. Compare to them, I'm the only one who treats my home as an R&R. Blame medicine instead. Or my benefactor for throwing me in exile on this little island. Or just don't blame anything or anyone. That's the best solution. Hmm. I think I might drifted far away from my main focus of today's post. I sincerely apologize for that.

Anyway, to my dearest baby sister, good luck and do your very best in your exams. I sincerely hope from the bottom of my heart that you will pass with flying colors  Just go make our parents proud. That's the best advice that I can give to you. The feeling that you'll get when you see your parents face and deep down you just know that they are very proud of their child, is always priceless.

So, ganbatte ne! Much love and hugs from your lovely sister :p

Neutralizer

I need to put this one put this one up right after the previous post just to neutralize my blog's atmosphere. I know I've violated my own oath by posting one emotional post. I am terribly sorry for that.

This picture is from last night's pillow talk with my beloved Mama. As you can see, my Abah's face was really fresh from the bed or more like a sleepy zombie I guess. Haha. So funny.

I miss you guys the most. Do pray for me :)

An understatement

To those who are not really familiar with comics like me, to be precise One Piece, I present to you, Tony Tony Chopper. Sheesh. This is all my sister's fault. Well, not actually her fault at all. I was chatting with her on Facebook just now, and she told me to get her this one little teddy bear called Tony Tony Chopper. And of course I didn't have any clue what that really is. But since she mention the word 'cute' then I've already guessed that it must be some little teddy bear in some comic book. She even asked me to Google it myself. So funny she is.

What makes this little teddy bear interesting is... the price! Can you believe that it costs around 200 myr each? Hahaha. I must be crazy. She must be crazy too. Crazy over this Tony guy here I meant. By the way, Tony Tony Chopper is a really cute name. I wonder who came up with the idea to give him that name.

Going to bed now. Sweet dreams everyone! :)

Post-it notes

That's me and my younger sister. About a couple of hundred or thousand years back, maybe. Gosh, I'm definitely old.

And soon after there's five of us altogether. I guess time really fly damn fast huh? Or maybe time is being super jealous with us? I'm not sure about that.

Anyway, those two people (right and center) are always the ones that I loved the most plus the other 4 little rascals. By the way, I can't seem to find a decent picture of my parents together without any of their children interfering. Lol.

I can't believe that Ramadan is almost over. I can't even believe that Eid is around the corner! Now seriously, time, what's wrong with you?

Just in case, if you would like to know how am I doing, currently I'm doing fine. Good things and not so good things happen all the time. Life is a good mash of those two. It's just the matter of how well you cope with it. And I'm still learning and trying to accept that as humble as I can.

Enough with these random ramblings, I hope you guys take care!
Don't miss me that much :)

Anticipation

It is coming in approximately less than a week. I bet everybody's looking forward for it. The fasting month is just around the corner. As for me, this will be the last time that I'm going to celebrate fasting month and Aidilfitri away from home. It's kind of sad to think that through all this 5 years studying abroad, I was only home once to celebrate Aidilfitri with my family.

Hmm. This year, it's a lot different. Almost all of my batch mates are going to be home to be with their respective families during these festive months. I just need to put aside those unwanted-negative-sad feeling for a while.

Just think of the bright side. I'm already half way there. I just need that much of courage to finish off this last half a mile. Aaaaaaaaaand I'll be home for good. Wow! I can't wait to say that for real! Hahaha.

Anyway, happy fasting everyone! May you be blessed each and every day. :)

My apologies

Dearest my beloved Mom and Dad and the rest of my family member,
I am doing fine out here. It's just that life has been very hectic nowadays and I can't seem to find time to get in touch with you guys. I'm sorry if I made you worried for not calling home. I'll try to make time to do so. But to tell you the truth I seriously don't think I can for the mean time. What an excuse right?! Hmm, but I'll try anyways. No worries. Last but not least, don't miss me much guys. I know you guys cried yourselves in your sleep when you think of me. Hehe.
Lots of love,
Your lovely and adorable daughter
P.s peace! :)

Yes, you.

I was feeling a bit blue today. Basically because of the weather, my nose, my head and my warm body was killing me. I know that I won't scientifically die that instant from some common cold. But who knows, anything can happen right?

Back about feeling blue. I was feeling so sick and you know when suddenly all of the negative feelings come creeping inside you, infusing negative thoughts about you and other people. Yes, that part. In other word, it's the trigger for me to cry my eyes out.

I tried to hold that and decided to call my mom instead. Let me share you a secret, I always cry to my mom. Usually I call her and start to cry and all she does is laugh out loud. Weird eh? But it always make me feel better.

And I called her once and decided to cry right after I said hello but she started telling stories and I've lost that urge to cry. I thought I was feeling better. Sadly, after I hung up that nasty feeling came crawling inside me as if trying to get into where it belongs in the first place.

So I called my mom for the second consecutive time. Guess what? My mom asked me what had happened? I bet she was surprised because I never called her 2 times in a row. I always call her for a good half an hour and that's it.

I told her that I felt like crying and started crying instantly. (Oh well, I was fragile!) Anyway, do you know what my mom said? This time she didn't laugh at me. Instead she seriously suggested some new Japanese drama for me to watch! Haha. She asked me to grab a pencil and write down the name of that drama. And she convinced me to watch it every time I feel like crying.

I stopped crying that very moment and burst into laughter. My mom, she's the best. I'm feeling awesome now.

I got my mojo back!:)

Sunkissed

Greetings from Mauritius! Here's a photo of us siblings having lots of fun getting our skin tanned most importantly. But I guess you guys figured out that it's not Mauritius really. To be exact, we were in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. If you noticed there's my beloved dad back there. My mom, well she was the one who's taking our picture.

Anyway, last Saturday we went to Port Dickson to have a family day. Basically to have a decent picnic and barbecue and of course who doesn't love a beach with sand and the ocean? And thank goodness that the weather on that particular day wasn't that hot. It was just nice and quite windy. We arrived around 11 o'clock and by 2 p.m. the tide was already rising. Nevertheless, the tide didn't even bother the two little boys to still soak their bodies into that cool ocean. And voila, I have two little Indian boys as my younger brothers.

Talking about beaches, I know that almost everyone must have at least had a dream to go to Mauritius or maybe I'm the only one dreaming about it? But I don't think so. Then again, who wouldn't love the crystal white sandy beach with bright blue ocean?! And the sky, oh what should I say to describe the sky. Hmm. maybe you should just Google it out to have a better picture about what I'm talking about.

Last but not least, please don't mistakenly see the photo above as if I'm pooping out sand castle. Have a great day!
